My name is Violet, yep just like the color. I used to dislike my name, but now I’m used to it. I guess I always pictured girls named Violet to have black hair and dark eyes and I have sandy blonde hair. Some call it dirty blonde, but those people are asking for trouble!

So why would I start a little blog to highlight nothing but “cotton jersey dresses”? I knew I wouldn’t have enough time to do a full-blown fashion blog, so I figured I would focus on just one piece of clothing I get the most use out of…cotton jersey dresses.

Quick Bio: Born and raised in Seattle. Graduated from University of Washington in 1998. Big fan of indie rock. Love to shop boutiques…can’t get enough! In my spare time, I seek out funky boutiques in places like Seattle, Portland, San Francisco, Vancouver Canada, etc.

I Am a Huge Believer In Supporting Independent Designers!

I never understood the fascination with the department store brands. I like unique and cutting edge fashion and you won’t find that at Nordstrom’s or Barney’s. I guess I like to buy fashion from designers that are in touch with what’s hip…and you don’t find that in the Big-Box stores.

Anyway…that is the gist of why I spent a bit of time creating this blog. Hope you like!
